    ROLE
    We need an experienced MuleSoft Developer to support the Department of Transportation (DOT). Your scope of work will be focused on building APIs to facilitate the integration of data into Salesforce.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Modernize the National Consumer Complaint Database (NCCDB) capabilities by leveraging the Salesforce Platform
    • Integrate with the data platform to store and retrieve complaint-related information
    • Implement Multifactor Authentication integration
    • Execute the migration of existing complaint data to the new platform
    • Design, develop, and orchestrate APIs using MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform
    • Establish the new data exchange platform for FMCSA using MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform
    • Coordinate with Software Architect, Developers, other technical team members, government stakeholders, and experts
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions on the Salesforce platform
    • Debug and troubleshoot issues that arise during development and testing
    • Employ automated deployment/DevOps tools and technologies with proficiency
    • Establish proper standards for development, governance, and operational lifecycle with stakeholders
    • Identify ongoing risks/pain points throughout the project and implement mitigation measures
    • Translate stakeholder needs into technical user stories
    • Assess the current environment and conduct a gap analysis
    • Produce comprehensive artifacts outlining options and recommendations
    • Work with the product owner and business users to assist in the discovery/engineering of technical requirements
    • Develop detailed technical integration architecture and design specifications
    • Create API specifications using RAML
    • Refine codes and test APIs and integration services
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and maintain Mulesoft environments
    • Support integration and user acceptance testing
    • Aid in the development and updating of technical design documents
    • Coordinate with Production Operations for release deployments
    • Ensure readiness for production deployment through release management documentation


    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
    • 10 years of functional experience
    • 8 years of specialized experience
    • Exp. using MuleSoft AnyPoint to build APIs and integration services
    • Exp. using MuleSoft to facilitate Salesforce data integration
    • Exp. with Agile development methodologies
    • Extensive knowledge and exp. with Salesforce architecture, API, Tomcat, XML, JMS, WS-*, SOA integration
    • Extensive knowledge and exp. with API Mgmt. technologies and standards
    • Expertise in delivering enterprise-level technical solutions for complex business requirements
    • Hands-on experience in API security (i.e., client ID/client key, OAUTH2, JWT and similar)
    • Exp. w/ Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC) framework, Apex and Visualforce preferred but not required
    • Knowledge of automated deployment / DevOps tools and technologies preferred but not required
    BACKGROUND
    • Progressive and relevant experience
    • Accredited Salesforce Public Sector Solutions Professional preferred
    • Required certs.—MuleSoft Certified Developer Level 1, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer 1
    • Preferred certs.—MuleSoft Certified Developer Level 2, MuleSoft Certified Hyperautomation Specialist
    EDUCATION
    • Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline required
