Flightstar is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support aircraft maintenance and modification projects at our FAA Part 145 Repair Station located in Savoy, IL (KCMI). This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to start a career in corporate aviation project management, gain hands-on experience, and grow into a full Project Manager role.

Starting Pay: $32–35 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of aircraft maintenance and modification projects
• Track project schedules, work scope, and key milestones
• Coordinate with clients, maintenance teams, quality, sales teams, and external vendors
• Assist with project documentation, status reporting, and compliance records
• Participate in maintenance planning meetings and follow up on action items
• Support cost tracking, invoicing, and basic contract documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Business, Engineering, or related field
• (or equivalent experience in an aviation environment)
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Interest in aircraft maintenance, MRO operations, and project management
• Preferred Qualifications
• Internship or entry-level experience in aircraft maintenance, MRO, or aviation operations
• Familiarity with FAA Part 145 regulations
• Exposure to project management tools (Smartsheet, MS Project, etc.) or maintenance tracking systems
