    KE Camps is the top provider of summer camps for country clubs nationwide. We collaborate with over 230 private clubs across the country to deliver traditional-style day camps for elementary-aged children. Our Staff are crucial to our programs, and we take pride in offering them extensive support. As a member of our team, you are guaranteed to be an integral part of the KE Camps community.

    As a Camp Director, you will be the main point of contact for all camp-related matters at your designated country club location. Your role will involve various responsibilities, all aimed at creating a memorable and valuable camp experience for the campers. Our Camp Directors have significant autonomy over their camp programs and delight in incorporating their creativity and skills into the weekly schedules. While managing campers, families, club logistics, your small staff team, and other camp activities, you will receive unwavering support from the KE Camps Year-Round Office.

    • Sustaining energy for full-day activities
    • Quick decision-making and adaptability
    • Prior leadership experience with children
    • Strong communication and public speaking skills
    • Enthusiastic, Responsible, Dependable, Consistent, Level-Headed, Flexible, and Calm in all situations
    • CPR/First Aid Certification OR willingness to obtain before summer starts

    Camp Director Responsibilities

    • Supervising campers to ensure a fun, safe, and engaging camp experience
    • Directly supervising daily swim sessions as needed (lifeguard certification not mandatory)
    • Guiding and overseeing counselors in a supportive manner
    • Delegating tasks to counselors and evaluating their performance
    • Completing and submitting administrative tasks daily and weekly online
    • Welcoming families and campers, and familiarizing them with the camp
    • Establishing rules with campers and staff, and reviewing emergency procedures
    • Managing parent expectations through understanding campers and communicating with parents during drop-off and pick-up times
    • Creating daily camp schedules and organizing activities
    • Purchasing camp supplies within the budget provided by KE Camps
    • Preparing activities in advance
    • Addressing any issues that may arise, such as camper behavior or parent concerns
    • Keeping the KE Camps Office informed about your camp's progress and any challenges you face
    • Completing other assigned duties

    Our camp is situated at Short Hills Club in Short Hills, NJ. The camp will operate Monday-Friday from June 24 to July 26, requiring staff members to commit to the entire camp season.
