    JOB SUMMARY

    Responsible for the supervising Banquet staff at Saracen Resort and Casino. This role ensures that all food and beverage services are delivered efficiently, meet high standards, and adhere to the Saracen Casino Resort policies and procedures. The Banquet Supervisor supervises kitchen and service staff, ensuring coordination and quality in all dining operations.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Staff Supervision: Manage and supervise the Sous Chef, kitchen staff, In-Room Dining Server, In-Room Dining Operator, and Banquet Server/Event Setup staff. Provide training, performance evaluations, and support to ensure high operational standards and employee satisfaction.
    • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of Banquet and In-Room Dining services, ensuring efficient food preparation, presentation, and delivery.
    • Customer Service: Ensure the highest degree of customer satisfaction in all food and beverage services. Address and resolve any guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
    • Menu Planning: Collaborate with the Sous Chef and other kitchen staff to develop and update menus for both banquets and in-room dining, ensuring variety and high quality.
    • Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, manage ordering and receiving of supplies, and conduct regular inventory checks. Ensure proper storage and handling of all food and beverage items.
    • Cost Control: Implement cost control measures to manage expenses related to food, labor, and supplies. Analyze financial reports to identify and address any cost-related issues.
    • Event Coordination: Oversee setup and execution of banquet events, ensuring that all arrangements meet guest expectations and operational standards.
    • Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies, including health and safety regulations. Ensure that all staff members are trained and compliant with these policies.
    • Training & Development: Conduct regular training sessions for staff to enhance skills, improve service quality, and stay updated with industry standards.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Front Desk, Sales, and Marketing, to coordinate services and promote special events or packages.
    • Attendance: Meet attendance guidelines and work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.

    • Other Duties: Assist in other projects as directed. Duties, responsibilities, requirements, and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.
    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older upon employment.
    • College degree or equivalent experience is required.
    • Ten years in the field of food and beverage, including three years managerial experience in a multi-unit operation experience is required.
    • Background in high-end / fine dining environments. Knowledge of Forbes level service experience, how to implement and maintain.
    • Must have a professional appearance and be a team player.
    • Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
    • Must possess excellent communication skills.
    • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
    • Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
    • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
    • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
    • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
    • Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
    • Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
