    Job Description

    As a member of the Northpoint team, the Recovery Technician (PRN) is responsible for attending to the safety and wellbeing of patients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to clinical staff.
    • Follow reporting and communication guidelines when interacting with staff and patients.
    • Timely completion and accuracy of paperwork, including daily logs and forms.
    • Maintains daily schedules and structure, specifically around transport times, meal times, transition times, and others outside of normal programming hours.
    • Function as a member of the treatment team and provide patient observation rounds, and consistent monitoring of patient's activities and behaviors during scheduled shift.
    • Attend and actively promote recreational outings and activities with patients; encourage pro-social and coping skills.
    • Ensure the wellbeing of patients and provide a positive, supportive, and structured environment; proactively respond to patient needs to improve outcomes and the overall patient experience.
    • Ensure facility cleanliness and upkeep under direction of leadership.
    • Assist patients with their needs and collaborate with onsite clinical and medical staff as necessary.
    • Facilitate and assist with selected activity and education group sessions; document timely and accurately according to established policies and procedures.
    • Oversee and manage the safe and efficient transport of patients to and from our facilities.
    • Assist in orientation of new admissions.
    • Utilize therapeutic communication skills and maintain professional boundaries with patients and their families.
    • Be a role model for patients and create a positive culture with staff by emulating professional attitude, language, and communication.
    • Assist with treatment planning and discharge planning.
    • Document information regarding client care and behavior as required in established policies and procedures.
    • Utilize de-escalation skills when exposed to volatile clients in an effort to maintain personal safety while also ensuring safety for the clients, and other individuals in the program.
    • Assist counseling and administrative staff in responding to emergency situations.
    • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care.
    • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
    • Must have at least one (1) year of relevant work experience.
    • Knowledge and skills in English usage, interpersonal relationships, and excellent communication skills.
    • Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department.
    • Demonstrated ability to hold strong personal boundaries and ability to build rapport with patients.
    • Knowledge of surrounding geographic area to ensure effective and efficient routing.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize competing priorities and work time to balance demands.
    • Must perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation.
