The fire department requires the candidate to complete the Public Safety Self-Assessment (PSSA). You can access the questionnaire through your candidate account. NTN suggests completing the PSSA as soon as possible so there is not a delay in your process.Priority will be given to State of Florida Certified Paramedics

Duties:
Under general supervision of a Captain or Lieutenant, is responsible for extinguishing fires, rescuing persons and protecting property from danger.
Duties will require them to perform life-saving rescue techniques as part of other emergency operations.Base Salary Information:
$ 50,069
State of Florida Paramedic License:
The base salary of a Firefighter/EMT with a valid Paramedic License will include an additional $4,500, and upon successfully completing the protocol test, the employee will receive an additional $4,500 increase.
