Job Title: Project Engineer

Location: Westminster, SC

Summary: The Project Engineer will provide work direction to technicians and less experienced colleagues, participate in multiple projects simultaneously, and review and seal project specifications for accuracy and compliance with State Statutes.

Core Responsibilities:

Prepare engineering documents for construction activities by collecting and analyzing field data, conducting engineering calculations, and determining the best solutions within budget limitations. Ensure documents are reviewed and sealed by a Professional Engineer for accuracy and compliance.
Assist with construction management duties, including conducting meetings with contractors, reviewing pricing, monitoring construction progress, and proposing solutions to conflicts. All proposals are subject to review and approval by senior project management staff.
Conduct assessments and investigations independently or with assistance, documenting existing conditions and deficiencies observed, and providing recommendations for improvements. Ensure recommendations are reviewed and approved by senior project management staff.
Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Knowledge:

Working knowledge of materials and installation processes used in roofing, wall, and other envelope assemblies.
Familiarity with Building Codes and engineering calculations, and ability to apply them to field conditions.
Ability to understand project specifications, identify discrepancies, and articulate them verbally and in written reports.
Proficiency in operating assessment and investigation equipment such as infrared cameras, electrical capacitance meters, and water testing units.
Effective communication skills.
Proficient in English language, both written and verbal.
Strong word processing, spreadsheet, and general computer skills.

Education and Training:

Bachelor's degree in engineering

Professional Engineer

Has or working toward Registered Consultant
