    A PCB Designer in Avionics will work with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to create printed circuit board designs integral to launch, flight, and landing of our spacecraft.

    Responsibilities

    • Create schematics and review them for compilation requirements, assisting engineers in capturing hierarchical designs
    • Design printed circuit boards for avionics supporting launch vehicles and spacecraft
    • Collaborate with design engineers to implement high-speed mixed signal designs, adhering to established standards and guidelines
    • Interface with manufacturing to produce designs meeting DFM guidelines
    • Work based on broad direction from management, using limited tactical guidance to determine strategic priorities
    • Provide leadership through advanced knowledge in area of specialization

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of professional experience in PCB design, or 5+ years of experience in lieu of a degree

    Preferred Skills and Experience

    • IPC CID, CID+ certification
    • Proficient in high-density/high-speed design
    • Experience with signal integrity design techniques
    • Low noise design and EMI/EMC minimization experience
    • RF and split analog/digital design experience
    • Designing for thermal reduction and high-vibration environments
    • Understanding of design for manufacturability, design for assembly, and design for testability
    • ECAD libraries and library configuration management experience
    • Familiarity with both MIL-STD and commercial components
    • Altium Designer and Mentor Xpedition experience
    • Software scripting experience for use in Altium Designer
    • C# programming skills and .NET familiarity
    • Working knowledge of Valor NPI
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with others
    • Strong work ethic and drive to succeed
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up atmosphere
