    New England Cancer Specialists (NECS) is currently seeking a full time

    Financial Analyst

    to join our growing Finance team. The Accounting and Finance Analyst will work closely and collaborate with the CFO on finance and accounting projects. Strong accounting skills, project management expertise, budget oversight, and proficiency in projections are key. Ensures project success while focusing on accuracy, strategic goals, and resource efficiency.
    This position is a hybrid role, primarily remote with the ability to travel onsite. Candidate should live within driving distance from Scarborough, ME.

    NECS is a private medical practice composed of sixteen oncologists and hematologists serving the region currently from five separate locations in Maine and New Hampshire.

    Experience and Skills:

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Collaborate on defining project scope, aligned with financial strategy.
    Develop comprehensive project plans with budgets, timelines, and resources.
    Coordinate cross-functional teams for project delivery.
    Monitor budgets and optimize costs.
    Utilize accounting skills for financial accuracy.
    Document project activities and allocate budgets.
    Prepare financial analyses and reports for decisions.
    Collaborate with vendors and consultants.
    Update CFO on project status, risks, and opportunities.
    Identify process improvements and efficiency strategies.
    Conduct quality reviews of project deliverables.
    Participate in project debriefings for insights.
    Stay current with industry trends and regulations.
    Provide accounting expertise for project decisions.

    Qualifications:
    Master's Degree or advanced license (e.g., CPA) preferred.
    Proven experience in accounting, financial analysis, budget management, projections, and project management.
    Experience with financial management software, Sage Intacct experience preferred.
    Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
    Proficiency in project management tools as well as Excel and other Microsoft programs.
    Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.
    Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
