    DEPARTMENT: Finance

    JOB SUMMARY: The Finance Controller is responsible for the oversight of the daily operations of accounting-related activities and departments within the Finance Division and its employees. The Controller provides direct oversight of the organization's general ledger and plays a key role in maintaining a system of internal controls over accounting transactions. This position is responsible for providing guidance and knowledge to employees within the Finance department ensuring they maintain the ability to perform their duties in a timely and efficient manner. Is responsible for supporting the CFO in regards to strategic planning within the Finance Division.

    COMPENSATION: $58.44 hr. *Applicant may be offered more depending on experience.

    MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • Seven (7) years of experience as a Controller or equivalent financial leadership role.
  • Seven (7) years of experience utilizing Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Seven (7) years of experience working with accounting systems or ERP Systems.
  • Seven (7) years direct accounting experience to include general ledger and financial reporting.
  • Seven (7) years of experience with GASB, GAAP and/or Fund/General Accounting concepts
  • REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES

  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). *Ten (10) years of experience working as a Controller or equivalent financial leadership role may be substituted in lieu of CPA.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
  • TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full-Time position.
