    Job Summary

    As an Educational Support Aide, you will work closely with teachers and administrators to assist students in need of special instructional or behavioral support. Your role will be pivotal in helping students overcome various challenges, enhancing their academic success, and fostering essential life skills.

    Your responsibilities will vary based on individual student needs, ranging from working with students in grades K-12 to assisting in classrooms. You may be assigned to provide one-on-one support for a specific student or work as a classroom aide. Challenges may include physical, behavioral, or social limitations, with varying degrees of severity.

    During the school day, you will help students with classwork, and promote their hygiene and self-care. You may also participate in prescribed physical, occupational, or speech therapy services according to each student's Individual Education Plan (IEP) or 504 plan.

    We seek a flexible Educational Support Aide who excels in collaboration with a diverse group of students, educators, and administrators. The ideal candidate is compassionate, capable of maintaining composure under pressure, and adept at supporting students requiring significant physical and behavioral assistance.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    Experience:
    • Prior experience in a school setting is preferred, but not mandatory
    Licensure and Certifications:
    • Preferred paraprofessional certification, but not required
    • BLS certification

    This pay range represents Covelo Group's minimum and maximum range for this role. Actual compensation will be determined by factors such as experience, qualifications, and location.
