    This is a field-based position operating on an 8-day hitch schedule followed by 6 days off throughout the season During field work camping will be required Camping is in remote locations typically not at established campsites Crews consist of three individuals one crew lead and two technicians This job ideal for someone passionate about learning plants soils rangeland ecology Job Description: Follow field protocols identify vegetation species level Gather species cover composition data Collect soil stability soil profile descriptions Use ruggedized tablets for data collection Assess special sage grouse habitat

    • Create Hitch Plans evaluate sample locations plan routes access concerns Communicate local BLM Field Office staff ERG Crew Managers Oversee gear sampling equipment management Lead manage person ensuring health safety protocols followed
