    We are a dynamic local company experiencing growth and seeking a versatile accountant to oversee accounting functions across multiple small business entities while providing insightful analysis for future projects.

    In this role, you'll be responsible for monitoring the company's financial health, managing accounting transactions, and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), as well as state and federal regulations.

    The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Pay is a range of $80k-100k.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Manage manufacturing and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) activities.

    Prepare and distribute timely GAAP-compliant monthly internal financial statements.

    Supervise distribution of internal management reports.

    Support month-end and year-end general ledger processes using accounting software.

    Coordinate independent auditor relationships and audit engagements, including tax planning and filing.

    Ensure compliance with state and federal reporting requirements.

    Enhance accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and documentation.

    Utilize technology to streamline accounting processes.

    Maintain capital asset records and oversee depreciation.

    Assist in preparing presentations for the Board of Directors.

    Manage the Annual Operating Budget process and monitor monthly results and quarterly forecasts.

    Prepare financial information for the President & Board.

    Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.

    Analyze manufacturing variances and report findings.

    Support the launch of new product programs by managing project financials.

    Prepare project financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow).

    Serve as liaison with government offices, external auditors, and banks.

    Maintain internal control procedures.

    Provide business support to the Sales Department.

    Manage capital expenditure projects.

    Conduct profitability analyses.

    Review and project salary increases in collaboration with Human Resources.

    Correspond with senior management regarding financial decisions.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    5-10 years of combined accounting and finance experience (manufacturing environment preferred).

    Bachelor's degree in accounting or MBA required.

    Proven success in implementing ERP/accounting software packages.

    Ability to establish and monitor internal controls and identify cost-saving opportunities.

    Experience working with business and technical teams to ensure accurate financial data capture.

    Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.

    Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Office tools.
