    Electrical Engineer

    Job Responsibilities and Expectations:
    Provide engineering related design, analysis and studies for domestic and international projects.
    Perform power factor analysis and correction, harmonic modeling and analysis, and grounding analysis.
    Conduct short-circuit, protective device coordination and arc-flash studies.
    Interact with customers to gather critical information and review engineering plans.
    Design and troubleshoot protective relaying and controls.
    Occasionally work with our Field Services team on shut-down, startup, installation and maintenance projects.
    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years relevant experience; prefer educational focus in Power Systems studies or Systems Integration.


    • Self-starter that exhibits a high level of initiative, resourcefulness, and ability to generate creative solutions.
    • Willingness to take on and complete multiple project assignments quickly and efficiently.
    • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently from problem statement to solution.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with multi-level audiences.
    • Adaptable, must be willing to remain flexible to accommodate changing business conditions, work requirements and scheduling needs in a rapidly changing environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain clear and accurate documentation.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license or working towards obtaining a plus. not required.
    • Preferred to have experience in short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash and power quality studies.
    • Preferred have experience using SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, EZPower, or other power system modeling software.
    • Preferred have knowledge of low, medium and high-voltage up to 500 kV.
    • Preferred knowledge of industrial process control and instrumentation
    • Understanding of electrical safety standards and equipment related safety standards, hands-on troubleshooting
    • Must be able to clearly communicate in English via verbal and written methods, and be comfortable doing so directly to customers and co-workers.
    • Availability for occasional domestic travel a plus.

    Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, drive regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations
    Should be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam when required
    Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests
    Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check
    All offers are conditioned on acceptable results from a background check and drug and alcohol screening
    Must be available to work overtime and travel out of town periodically
    Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, drive regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations
    Must be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam
    Must have a valid driver's license, and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record
    Must be available for periodic domestic travel; international travel a plus and U.S. passport desired
    Must be able to fluently read, write, and speak English.
