- Lead and actively participate in hands-on 5S projects across the site to improve workplace organization, cleanliness, and overall efficiency.
- Demonstrate physical capability to lift and move objects as required during the implementation of 5S initiatives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and sustain 5S practices in various work areas.
- Conduct training sessions on Lean principles, 5S methodology, and other relevant tools to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees.
- Provide coaching and support to individuals and teams, ensuring the successful adoption of Lean practices.
- Develop and execute project plans for 5S initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement corrective actions to achieve desired outcomes.
- Collaborate with teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and workflows.
- Analyze performance metrics and provide recommendations for enhancements based on Lean principles.
- Experience working in a hazardous waste environmental
- Understanding of permitting/environmental compliance
- Certification in Lean or 5S (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt, 5S Certification) is a plus.
- Experience in the Waste Management industry is a plus.
- Proven experience in facilitating hands-on 5S projects in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Proven experience as a Lean and 5S practitioner, with a strong track record of successful project implementation.
- Solid understanding of Lean principles, 5S methodology, and their application in diverse work environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and coach employees at all levels.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, safety and operational excellence.
- Physical ability to lift and move objects as needed during the implementation of 5S initiatives.
- Bachelors or Associate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Operations Management) preferred.
- Maintain detailed documentation of 5S projects, including before-and-after assessments, lessons learned, and best practices.
- Prepare regular reports and updates for management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and future improvement opportunities.
- Lean 5S is the most important.
- Certification is not mandatory. Experience will be valued over education.
- Kaizen is also very beneficial
