    Bookkeeper

    A Cedar Valley manufacturer is currently seeking a bookkeeper to join our team The Bookkeeper is primarily responsible for maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions, payroll, accruals, and performing general accounting functions as required.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Oversee Accounts Receivable and maintain customer records.
    • Accounts Payable and vendor records maintenance
    • Bank deposits and cash receipts processing.
    • Reconcile company credit card statement and code to proper expense.
    • Weekly/Monthly posting of journals and transactions in ERP software
    • Prepare and Process payroll and all supporting payments (benefits, taxes, garnishments, etc.)
    • Quarterly sales and payroll tax reporting
    • Close fiscal months in ERP system
    • Maintain required business documents and files.
    • Prepare Annual 1099's
    • Prepare W-2's, W-3's and all associated government reporting.
    • Compile annual reports required for CPA.
    • Vendor statement reconciliation and discrepancies oversight
    • Review of all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense coding
    • Perform other related duties as required.
    Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in accounting or business management, or equivalent experience preferred.

    Proficient in accounting software (3 years minimum experience)

    3-5 years Full Charge Bookkeeping experience or Accountant experience

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office

    Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.

    Highly organized and detail-oriented

    Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Ability to interface well with all levels of employees and also outside contacts.

    Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
