    We are seeking a seasoned Senior Substation Engineers (Electrical Engineers) to join a Leading Multidisciplinary Engineering firm's expanding Power Group.

    As a substation engineer, you'll lead or assist in utility and power substation projects and client support. This position is available in various cities throughout the U.S. with potential for full remote work depending on qualifications.
    You'll collaborate with clients ranging from investor-owned utilities to renewable energy developers and large industrial clients.

    This client mix offers diverse project opportunities, spanning from substations to wind farms, solar energy facilities, and battery storage facilities.

    Your role will entail leading or supporting various substation projects ranging from 34.5kV up to 500kV.

    Additionally, you'll showcase your ability to cultivate strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders in the Power & Utility industry.


    Responsibilities include:


    Creating substation layout drawings for new and existing substations, encompassing plan and elevations, yard layouts, grounding, raceway details, control building layouts, and material lists.

    Developing substation one-lines, three-lines, auxiliary AC/DC power systems, SCADA and Communications Systems, relay panel layouts, equipment wiring, and cable schedules.

    Conducting calculations and preparing reports for client presentations.
    Drafting equipment specifications for substation equipment and components.
    Building and managing skills, resources, and expertise to deliver strategic services and projects.
    Providing QA/QC reviews.
    Mentoring or leading a team of engineers and technical specialists.
    Cultivating client relationships and collaborating across multiple disciplines.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
    Professional Engineer License or in the process of obtaining licensure.
    7+ years of progressive experience in design, engineering, and project management within the power and utility industry.
    Design experience in high-voltage substations and distribution projects.
    Experience delivering quality technical solutions and designs for major power delivery projects.
    Commitment to driving strong business performance, continuous improvement, and best practices.
