- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of diverse learners
- Deliver instruction in middle school math concepts, including but not limited to algebra, geometry, and statistics
- Utilize various teaching strategies and resources to support student learning and foster critical thinking skills
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians
- Establish a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes respect, collaboration, and a love for learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective instructional practices
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred
- Valid teaching certification in math for middle school is required
- Prior teaching experience, specifically in math instruction, is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of middle school math curriculum and instructional strategies
- Passion for teaching and deep understanding of math concepts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students
- Strong organizational and time management skills
