    JOB SUMMARY:

    As an EV Charger Testing Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment through rigorous testing and validation processes. You will be responsible for designing test plans, executing test cases, analyzing test results, and providing feedback, and reports to engineering teams to improve, and assess product performance. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a passion for ensuring the safety and functionality of EV charging infrastructure.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define testing requirements, objectives, and success criteria for EV charger products. Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate product functionality, performance, and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Execute test cases according to established test plans using manual and automated testing methodologies. Perform functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and stress testing to identify defects, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement in EV charger hardware and software.
    • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and test frameworks to streamline testing processes, improve efficiency, and increase test coverage. Utilize scripting languages and test automation tools to automate repetitive tasks and accelerate test execution.
    • Analyze test results, log files, and diagnostic information to identify root causes of issues, troubleshoot problems, and provide detailed reports to engineering teams. Collaborate with developers to resolve defects and verify fixes through retesting and regression testing.
    • Ensure that EV charger products meet quality standards, reliability targets, and performance specifications throughout the development lifecycle. Conduct risk assessments and impact analyses to prioritize testing efforts and focus on areas of highest risk.
    • Document test procedures, test results, and testing methodologies in clear and concise reports. Maintain accurate records of test activities, defects, and resolutions in a centralized test management system. Contribute to the creation of user manuals, installation guides, and technical documentation for EV charger products.
    • Identify opportunities to optimize testing processes, tools, and workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness. Provide feedback on product design, usability, and reliability to engineering teams and contribute to product enhancement initiatives.

    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required;
    • Proven experience in software testing, hardware testing, or quality assurance, preferably in the automotive or electric vehicle industry.
    • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, test automation frameworks, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles.
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Linux-based systems, test automation, and scripting purposes. -
    • Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or Robot Framework.
    • Knowledge of electrical systems, power electronics, and EV charging protocols (e.g., CCS, CHAdeMO, AC/DC charging standards) is a plus.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and communicate findings effectively.
    • Proficiency with test equipment: Oscilloscope, thermal testing, CMC, EV Simulator, Setting up test equipment.
    Competencies:
    • Strong engineering experience in charging communication standards & vehicle charging testing methodologies.

    Physical Requirements:
    • Stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, type, and write.
    • Reach with hands and arms, bend, stand on a stool, or climb, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools, or controls.
    • Use standard office equipment such as computers, smartphones, printers, photocopiers, etc.
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Lift files and open desk drawers and filing cabinets.
