    Description

    Summary of Duties

    Responsible for implementing, supporting and maintaining the information technology and telecommunications infrastructure for the Hospital Division.

    Responsible for working with end-users, vendors, as well as, other staff to resolve information technology issues over the telephone, or remote access or on-site as they relate to computer, server, networking, mobile devices, and other device repairs, operating system and software configuration.



    Essential Job Functions


    • Implement,repair and trouble shoot computers, switches and other networking equipment.
    2. Install,configure, reload and restore currently supported Windows server operatingsystem.

    3. Assistin troubleshooting configuration, and maintaining patient accountingsystems.

    4.

    Implement,support, maintain and secure domain controllers and other servers such as DHCP,DNS, application and file/print servers as needed for Hospital Division.

    5. Install,configure, troubleshoot networking equipment such as switches, layer 3switches, wireless access points, routers, and firewalls.

    6.

    Updateendpoints with end point protection and response software as well as operatingsystem patches, weekly at minimum or daily if needed.

    7. AssistDirector of IT other IT staff in securing Electronic Protected HealthInformation (ePHI).

    8. AssistDirector of IT in implementing site-to-site Virtual Private Network (VPN)solution.

    Able to trouble shoot firewalland router problems including down internet connections, Virtual PrivateNetwork tunnels not connecting and opening ports via an access-list.

    9. Assistwith upgrades, configuration and support needs of the Hospital Division patientaccounting, billing and pharmacy system (CPSI).

    10. Liaisebetween Hospital facility staff and biomed vendors on biomed system networkingrelated issues for support and replacement where asked.

    11.

    Workswith vendor(s), facility staff and other IT staff to assist installation orsupport of interfaces between thepatient accounting system and medication cabinets or other systems.

    12. Configureand maintain secure wireless networks for business use, as well as, workingwith vendors on public/resident wifi network support.

    13. Assistin providing technical guidance and support to facility staff.

    14. InstallMicrosoft Windows current supported desktop operating systems.

    15. Createand modify Group Policy Objects in a Windows Active Directory.

    16. Respondto inquiries on the help desk and remotely assist users with problems.

    17. Logall requested and completed work into the help desk software application.

    18. Createpurchase orders and capital expenditure requests for all Hospital Division ITcapital needed.

    19. Performother duties as needed by the Director of IT.


    Education

    Associate'sdegree or equivalent in computer science or a related field required. Certified on Microsoft Desktop and Serveroperating systems (MCSA or equivalent) required. Bachelor's Degree in Management InformationSystems as well as additional networking certifications such as Network + or CCNA,preferred.


    Experience


    Minimum offour (4) years experience as network engineer or network administrator supportand a minimum of two (2) years experience with cisco networking or similarequipment required.
