    Description:

    • Lead employees to meet Labor Productivity (Labor Utilization) and Quality Standards.
    • Perform change overs and machine/tooling set up as needed during the shift to maximize quality thru put.
    • Responsible for general operations of department's shift, including maintaining quality and production standards.

    Job Duties/Responsibilities - (Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following):

    Perform machines and tooling setup. Ensure machines are ready for production.

    Plan, prioritize, supervise and review the work of employees responsible for production.

    Participate in the selection of staff; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures.

    Holds team members accountable.

    Abide by and enforce policies of the company Employee Handbook.

    Promote a safe and clean working environment.

    Effectively communicate with peers and employees.

    Work weekends and other overtime as needed and when appropriate.

    • Supervises staff and coordinates operation of the Automotive Department.
    • Maintains and coordinates production schedules.
    • Coordinates and communicates with other Supervisors.
    • Plans and assigns work, trains employees, and has authority for discipline, performance decisions and evaluation reviews.
    • Responsible for maintaining product quality standards.
    • Exercises direct leadership over employees for his/her shift for responsibility and indirect responsibility for employees of other shifts and department.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements/Qualifications - (Requirements may be modified or amended for reasonable accommodations):

    • Must have at least 5 years of automated cell Set up Experience.
    • Understanding of assembly and machining is support of automated cells. Tooling, process steps and parameters required to achieve various surface finishes.
    • Must be able to operate automated and robotic machines.
    • Knowledge of Robotics and programing of robots a big plus.
    • PLC and CNC programing experience a plus.
    • Knowledge of measurement tools, gages, calipers and micrometers.
    • Knowledge of SPC charts and control limits a must.
    • Understand geometrical tolerance and blue print reading a must.
    • Principles of supervision, training and performance evaluation.
    • Must possess a minimum of High School Diploma and Prior Leadership Experience.
    • Modern office procedures, methods and computer equipment and software.
    • Familiar with Quality Management System (QMS) for IATF requirements and Environmental Management System (EMS) for ISO
