- Hillcrest: The Hillcrest hospital serves Waco and surrounding Central Texas communities with 260 general acute care hospital beds, the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the area, a Level III maternal care center and the lead trauma facility for a five-county region. The facility has achieved Magnet recognition and is the only CARF-certified inpatient rehabilitation facility in Waco.
