    Description

    The National Academic Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for the delivery of learning, LMS Systems and development solutions that maximize the effectiveness of Academic teams and increase the skill sets of the instructional staff throughout the organization. Training delivery will include a variety of mediums including, but not limited to, in-field training, classroom facilitation, virtual classroom, webinars, LMS platform, and informal learning channels such as on-the-job shadowing and coaching. The National Academic Learning & Development Specialist must be an excellent communicator who is proficient in both individual and group training methods. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, disciplined, organized, fast acting, thoughtful, detail oriented and an excellent problem solver. The ability to diagnose issues and develop creative solutions is essential. The effectiveness of the National Academic Learning & Development Specialist role is demonstrated by superior academic training effectiveness, reduced academic turnover rates, and efficient new product, process, and program adaptation.
    Primary/Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Complies with all Federal, State, accreditation and institutional policies.
    • Able to travel monthly or as needed to campuses across the IEC system
    • Ensuring that all campus Academic teams understand and adhere to IEC policies, procedures and processes.
    • Training, developing, coaching and mentoring all new and current instructors.
    • Under the supervision of the AVP, conduct trainings for DOEs, ADOEs, and RDOEs as needed.
    • Managing, developing, and coordinating organizational wide training schedule.
    • Developing & facilitating daily, weekly, monthly ongoing instructor training and onboarding programs.
    • Preparing & maintaining training materials, summaries, videos, and presentations.
    • Conducting training needs analysis.
    • Providing post-training monitoring and reinforcement through class observations and campus visits to ensure execution.
    • Servicing helpdesk training tickets.
    • Providing guidance, leadership and support to campuses to ensure effective achievement of academic operational objectives.
    • Providing post-training assessments, monitoring, reinforcement and coaching.
    • Driving and managing large complex training initiatives.
    • Monitoring effectiveness of training, as well as, the adoption and usage of tools, procedures, policies, and programs.
    • Maintaining an understanding of current industry and academic trends, competitive information, etc. and transfer knowledge to training audience.
    • Consulting with vertical partners on academic performance issues and implications for training and development
    • Building relationships that allow for on-going collaborative interactions that help identify learning gaps and potential solutions.
    • Participating in development opportunities to enhance and build training skills and capabilities.
    • Applying comprehensive knowledge and expertise of academic processes within the training environment.
    • Supporting training budget objectives by controlling costs and recommending improvements.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative to proactively complete assignments and achieve desired outcomes

    • Dynamic Classroom, virtual training and facilitation skills required
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Problem solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and successfully
    • Demonstrated high competency in LMS Systems.
    • Demonstrated competency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Teams.
    • Demonstrated competency in the facilitation of video conferencing solutions in combination of various virtual applications and media.
    • Demonstrated expertise and experience presenting information, classroom instruction and academic training methods
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve objectives and meet exceptions
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Must be self-motivated and able to motivate others in a fun, highly productive, professional environment
    • At least 3 years of proven academic management in career education
    • Bachelor's Degree required
