Job summary
The Set-up Operator is responsible for set-up and operates and assists in the repair of a verity of production machinery with minimal supervision and obtains necessary supplies for on-going operations in an industrial establishment by performing the following duties.Essential job functions include performing all duties in a safe and efficient manner adhering to company safety policies, preparing operation machines to specification to insure correct production standards, inspecting work pieces for defects to determine accuracy of machine operation, starting and stopping machines as needed following proper lock-out tag-out procedure,
working as a liaison with maintenance staff on machine repair and preventive maintenance, assisting supervisor in providing guidance, direction and training to Machine Operators,
performing all duties of Machine Operator as deemed necessary: observing continuous operation of automatic machines to ensure that products meet specifications
and detect jams or malfunctions making adjustments as necessary visually inspect products for surface
& dimension defects ensuring conformance specifications properly position securing work pieces on machines start feeding mechanisms removing finished products from machinery monitor their operation ensuring quality process inspsect parts for proper dimensions visual defects assist identifying cause errors other defects accurately complete proper documentation job operation meet production standards quotas pace schedule maintaining high quality maintain clean work environment company procedures communicate any problems machinery tooling supervisor collaboratively resolve issues suggest improvements use hand tools when necesary such hammer mallet specific air tools adhere all company policies maintains regular predictable attendance other duties assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability read write English
- 3 - 5 years working machine operator manufacturing field preferred.
