- Responsible for the compliance of all health and safety requirements.
- Responsible for the coordination and direction of all maintenance employees that are assigned to the facility and/or Business Unit.
- Develop and manage maintenance procedures and ensure the proper implementation and adherence
- Management of the professional performance development of the maintenance employees (skilled trades development program).
- Responsible for coordinating the procurement and receipt of replacement parts for projects within the facility.
- Develop and manage key maintenance metrics, such as PMs completed, rework, downtime, open work orders, time to repair, etc., and develop systems, processes, and activities to improve metrics.
- Ability to use all types of tools and Shop Equipment (manual, electric, pneumatic, etc...).
- Advanced computer skills, including use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other programs; capable of learning to use AS400, Lotus Notes, and Mapics
- Advanced communication skills - both written & oral.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Excellent organizational skills and problem solving capabilities.
- This position is able to work without supervision.
- Shall be competent reading both hydraulic and electrical blueprints, as well as mechanical drawings.
- 4 year technical degree, Journey Worker Certification, or at least 15 years of equivalent job-related experience.
- Three to seven years of experience in hydraulics or electrical maintenance is preferred.
- Three to seven years of experience of supervisory/project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
