Job Summary:

A Tax Intern is an entry-level position requiring no prior public accounting or industry experience. The primary function is to perform tasks related to accounting, tax, and client services as directed by professional members responsible for service completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Record transactions in ledgers, prepare trial balances, and financial statements using computer programs.
Reconcile accounts to control accounts.
Assist with proofing financial statements and documents.
Organize work papers in a logical sequence.
Meet time and budget constraints and client deadlines.
Communicate with clients and team members efficiently and professionally.
Perform other accounting and tax duties as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting in progress.
Relevant tax coursework.
Ability to become proficient with multiple computer programs and spreadsheets.
Good critical thinking, professional judgment, and decision-making skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year
