Audit managers take on an array of tasks within the audit departmentincluding quality review of staff work, project management, businessdevelopment and solving complex audit issues.

Requirements"} Required Experience and Education:
FASB or Commercial and/or Not-for-Profit experience is desired, as isexperience in Yellow Book and Single Audits. A current and valid CPAlicense is required. Must be a member in good standing with the AmericanInstitute of CPAs and respective state societies.
A Bachelors degree inaccounting and approximately 8 years of related work experience; or agraduate degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience,preferably with approximately 4 of those years as an auditor with apublic accounting firm.
Needs excellent project management skills,advanced written and verbal communication skills, dedication to teamworkand leadership and integrity within a professional environment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop/maintain strong working relationships with key businessdecision makers throughout the year to communicate value and informthem of the firms scope of services
Provide guidance/expertise and participation in the performance ofaudit procedures, especially focusing on complex and/or specializedissues
Demonstrate excellence in executive presence, people development,leadership and professionalism
Collaborate to plan objectives and determine an audit strategy thatappropriately addresses risk
Establish the expectations of the value to be delivered
Successfully monitor the audit engagement team against the budget,and alter if necessary
Identify/communicate relevant trends, developments, and keyperformance drivers relevant to the audit client
Demonstrate a deep understanding of the audit clients industry andmarketplace
Develop people by effectively delegating to all levels of the auditteam staff and by encouraging audit team members to makedeterminations and take responsibility for their contribution to theaudit team
Conduct audit team performance reviews, serve as a positive leaderand mentor, and contribute to audit team performancefeedback/training
Foster teamwork and lead by example
Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with audit teammembers, and enhance service delivery
Maintain an educational program to continually develop skills
Maintain cooperative relationships with other audit engagement teams
Monitor the audit engagement teams progress against the plan andalter it when needed
Generate new business opportunities by developing ideas andsolutions
Achieve growth by understanding Adams Brown and its services linesand actively assessing/presenting way to apply knowledge andservices
Develop long-term relationships and networks both internally andexternally
