Job Description:POSITION PURPOSE
To answer all Guest calls for engineering dept., ensure safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintain all guest rooms and public area, must be available to work all shifts, answering to all guest calls related to engineering, Keeping up with hotels dcor in good condition. Candidates should have the ability to use all hand/power tools in a safe manner, basic Electric and Plumbing skills are required, also drywall, Vingcard locks, guest-room safe repair. Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull 250 lbs., help with delivery. Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time, the ability to climb stairs and ladders to change light bulbs, curtain track, ceiling tiles. Shovel snow. Candidates must have good customer service skills, must have strong oral, communication and interpersonal skills and possess some computer knowledge.
Other:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Omni rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotels facilities. Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Hotel Specific Essential Functions:
Have thorough understanding of Engineering preventative maintenance program.
Understand Omni work ticket reporting and completion procedures.
Maintain logs of daily work performed with precise indications of areas entered and/or worked.
Tools and Equipment:
All Power/hand tools, soft soldering.
Working Environment:
Interior of hotel, in all areas of the hotel. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS: Help with special events and delivery.

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

Physical Demands Based on position
Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to lift items weighing in excess of 50 lbs. routinely.
Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to daily task.
Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.
Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
