    Job Summary:
    We are seeking a skilled and passionate Full-Time Evening Cook to join our culinary team.

    As a cook in our nursing home, you will play a crucial role in preparing delicious and nutritious meals that contribute to the well-being and happiness of our residents.

    Your culinary expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.


    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and cook appetizing and well-balanced evening meals for our residents, ensuring that all dietary requirements and restrictions are taken into consideration.
    • Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistent meal quality and portion control.
    • Coordinate with the dietary team to plan menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of residents.
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
    • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure a well-stocked and efficient kitchen.
    • Collaborate with the dietary staff to provide input and suggestions for menu improvements and enhancements.
    • Communicate and work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and seamless operation.
    • Exhibit a compassionate and courteous attitude towards residents and their families, fostering a warm and welcoming dining experience

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.
    • Knowledge of safe food handling practices and adherence to food safety regulations.
    • Ability to read and follow recipes, prepare meals according to dietary guidelines, and accommodate special dietary needs.
    • Strong organizational skills to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and healthcare professionals.
    • Flexibility to accommodate occasional schedule changes or special events

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Culinary training or certification is a plus but not mandatory.
    • Two years as a cook in a large-scale cooking operation, preferred.
    • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a busy kitchen environment
