- Communication: Liaise with various stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, vendors, and clients, to ensure clear communication and alignment regarding project cost-related matters.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to relevant financial and industry standards, guidelines, and compliance requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in project controls, cost engineering, or a similar role within the industrial construction or energy industry.
- Proficiency in cost management software and tools (e.g., Ecosys, Viewpoint, Oracle Primavera, or equivalent).
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and platforms, including MS Office suite and project management software.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data and reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry best practices, cost control methodologies, and project management principles.
- Professional certification such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certification in Risk Management (CRM) is preferred.
- Relocation to an area within commutable distance of the project site is required for the duration of the project.

The Project Controls Cost Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the cost aspects of construction projects in the energy industry. This role will involve a combination of financial analysis, budget management, and project forecasting to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and within budget.
