Urology of Virginia (UVA) has a 100-year history of providing comprehensive and high-quality care to the entire Hampton Roads region.

Our clinical care team consists of board-certified Urologists and 30+ Advanced Practice Providers.

Working in a team-based environment, our mission is to help patients optimize their urological health, while providing rewarding opportunities for APPs to function at the top of their license.

Our APP program is nationally recognized as a leader in developing and expanding the role of APPs in Urology.

We are seeking an APP to provide hospital-based support at our south Hampton Roads hospitals.

Responsibilities include rounding on inpatients, seeing inpatient/emergency room consults, and performing procedures such as cystoscopy for difficult catheter placement, hematuria irrigation, priapism management and more.

Demonstrate a high degree of general medical and urological knowledge and exercise independent judgment as appropriate
Assess the patient's medical condition by completion of a urological examination
Document appropriately and communicate with the appropriate physician in a timely manner as required, including, but not limited to: evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, treatment notes, and other reports as requested
Prescribe, monitor, and adjust medications and devices based on the patient's medical condition
Order physical therapy, occupational therapy and/or home health care as appropriate
Perform hospital-based procedures (cystoscopy for difficult catheter placement, hematuria irrigation, priapism management, etc.) Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program
