    Description

    Tyler Technologies is looking for an Event Planner to join our Event Marketing team for a 5-week project We expect the Event Planner to work 30-40 hours per week and travel to Tyler Connect in Indianapolis, if needed, with estimated 60+ hours based on event needs. The Event Planner will engage in pre-planning and onsite management of certain aspects of our upcoming user group conference. The temporary position would work in conjunction with the Tyler events team, along with other supporting teams.

    As a part of Tyler's corporate staff, you will make an impact on outcomes that affect various areas of the company. Your work will ultimately support our team members, clients, stakeholders, and the public sector.

    Responsibilities

    • A/V provider management, including attending pre-planning weekly calls, onsite rehearsals, and being the onsite liaison between team and AV provid er
    • Onsite meeting space management, which includes confirming onsite room set ups and managing and room changes at the convention c enter
    • Assisting with signage direction and overseeing installation with vendor and design team to ensure proper placement and quality of installation
    • Assisting with food and beverage managemen t
    • Post-event wrap-up for Connec t
    • Working in RainFocus for classroom and content management
    • Assist in planning aspects for smaller internal meetings, not limited to F&B, AV, Transportation, Registration
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or comparable work experience in event management
    • CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) designation is a plus
    • DES (Digital Event Strategist) certification is a plus
    • Ability to travel to events on-site as needed
    • Excellent planning, organizing and problem-solving skills a must
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Effective communication and decision-making skills
    • Excellent people skills
    • Ability to work well in a large team environment
    State-Specific Salary Range Disclosure Requirements
    Salary will generally fall between $20 - $45 before adjustment for geographic differences. Recruiter can confirm if position is incentive eligible.
