    Job Summary:
    The Senior Training Manager is responsible for managing all trainingsupport requirements and initiatives related to the Homeland Security NationalTraining Program (HSNTP) Cooperative Agreement. The Senior Training Managerwill oversee the instructional and support staff for the DHS/FEMA sport safetyand security training program for all approved courses. This includes theprimary point of contact role for instructors and course/instructor monitoringin accordance with guidelines prescribed in the Cooperative AgreementProcedures Manual (CAPM). The Senior Training Program will also oversee theinstructor certification process. As directed, this position is responsible fortraining and mentoring other Training Managers to ensure compliance for allDHS/FEMA related guidelines.

    PrimaryJob Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Oversee the courseinstructor's selection, training, day-to-day assignment, and performance. Establishgoals and monitor performance for all assigned staff.Review instructor evaluations on aquarterly basis and provides coaching and/or additional training asneeded.
    2. Observeand evaluate all instructional staff. Maintain up-to-date instructor trainingrecords and oversee all components of the instructor certification processas established by DHS/FEMA. Ensures budget guidelines are followed forinstructional support.
    3. Meet all required performancetargets: number of course deliveries and participants, and instructorutilization. This includes marketing efforts to ensure the optimal targetmarket is captured.
    4. Manage coursecoordination efforts and course support to ensure the quality of eachdelivery within the program. This includes preparing training materials,shipping material, coordinating delivery locations and ensuring all courseforms are completed in a timely manner.
    5. Develop and implementstrategies to enhance training quality, capacity, performance and overallvalue to the customer.
    6. Manage strategic planningand calendar establishing priorities and synchronizing long-rangeschedules to optimize effectiveness and enhance operational productivity.
    7. Keeps informed of andinterprets pertinent rules, regulations, policies and procedures set forthby the University or other governing agencies and adjust plans asrequired.
    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college oruniversity in criminal justice, sports management or a related field and at least 8 years of experience in project management in sports administration,emergency management, law enforcement or a related field. In lieu of a degree,15 years of progressive experience in project management in sports administration,emergency management, law enforcement or a related field is acceptable.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, sports management or a related field and at least 12 years' of project management experience in sports administration, emergency management, law enforcement or a related field. In lieu of a degree, 20 years of progressive experience in project management in sports administration, emergency management, law enforcement or a related field is acceptable.
