    Job DescriptionSpecial Ed. Teacher Assistants & Aides – Salaried Positions THE HAGEDORN LITTLE VILLAGE SCHOOL (HLVS) – SEAFORD, NYIMMEDIATE INTERVIEWS/OPENINGS

    8:15am – 4:00pm/12 months/5 days per week

    • $36,757 (NYS Certified Teacher Assistants)
    • $34,872 (Teacher Aides)

    8:25am – 2:40pm or 8:05am – 2:20pm/12 months/5 days per week

    • $29,325 (NYS Certified Teacher Assistants)
    • $27,821 (Teacher Aides)

    Little Village will reimburse all costs incurred by Teacher Aides that pursue and obtain a New York State Assistant Teacher Certification (additional information provided at interview).

    • Special Education classroom experience a plus
    • Must be a caring, compassionate person who is eager to work with 3-12 year-old students with developmental disabilities in a small (i.e., 6-12 students) classroom environment. Duties include working on social, emotional and academic development of students, and assisting children with personal care
    • 12 months includes a 10-month school calendar plus a 6-week summer session
    • Paid for all school holidays and school breaks (Winter Holiday break week; February break; April break; beginning and end of summer breaks surrounding 6-week summer session)
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Available medical, dental and vision insurance, 403B plan, paid time off (PTO)
    • Initial medical exam is required
