    Job Summary:

    The Data and Grants Manager is responsible for the programmatic management of grants and contracts, tracking program performance and managing contract relationships. The Data and Grants Manager will play a key role in implementing grant agreements and associated programs at Chrysalis. The Data and Grants Manager will directly supervise a team of 2-3 staff members. This position will have client, staff, partner agency, and funder interactions and will require the ability to use independent judgment. This is a fast paced function of the department that requires exceptional organizational skills, a detail-oriented nature, extensive multitasking across different projects, as well as seamless coordination of shared duties with colleagues and partner agencies.

    Duties and Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

    Grant Management & Reporting

    • Oversee and implement management of government grants, including tracking performance metrics, implementing client enrollment processes, overseeing data entry and data quality assurance
    • Manage, support, and lead data and grants team of Data & Grants Administrators
    • Utilizing various databases, spreadsheets, and other tracking tools, monitor progress towards specific outcomes for program participants
    • Monitor contract requirements regarding documentation of services and outcomes
    • Communicate regularly with Director and funders about program issues and updates
    • Coordinate with staff and funders in completing audits and site visits as required and ensure positive program implementation findings
    • Prepare regular funder grant reports

    Partner Relationship Management

    • Serve as a liaison with the City of LA's Economic & Workforce Development Dept. (EWDD), the County of LA's Department of Economic Opportunity and Roberts Enterprise Development Fund (REDF)
    • Communicate and work closely with external stakeholders and partners, building and maintaining relationships with all key staff members
    • Work with Directors to determine outcome targets to ensure outcomes are reasonable
    • Represent Chrysalis at offsite meetings and trainings

    General Duties

    • Adhere to all Chrysalis policies and procedures
    • Support the Chrysalis Mission and adhere to the Chrysalis Code of Ethics
    • Assist Strategy & External Relations as well as other departments with data and grants management tasks as assigned.

    Job Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience; or Associate's and 4 years of experience in data entry and analysis, grants or program management, or program administration.
    • Computer literacy required. Solid experience with Excel and other databases, including Salesforce.
    • Strong organizational skills, including effective time management and the ability to make decisions independently and in collaboration with staff across departments and external partners
    • Demonstrated ability to manage detailed reports, pay close attention to detail, and work under deadlines by multi‐tasking and appropriately prioritizing and delegating while maintaining flexibility
    • Self‐starter with "can do" attitude and initiative
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Interact with clients, customers and colleagues with diplomacy and tact
    • Maintain confidential information and exercise discretion
    • Commitment to addressing the needs of low‐income people
