- Provide construction management, supervision, and leadership for an inspection staff on a large or complex highway construction project
- Fully engage in solving problems to provide technical evaluation and sound solutions while independently coordinating and directing all phases of construction inspection on complex highway projects
- Oversight of project record-keeping, scheduling and DOT reporting as required
- Ability to conduct scheduled project progress meetings for the client as required
- Ability to communicate effectively across different platforms with project staff, NCDOT personnel, stakeholders, contractors, and the general public
- Working knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft Office products
- Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years (NCDOT preferred) highway infrastructure inspection experience for construction methods, materials, standards, and specifications
- Previous construction project management experience
- Understanding of QA/QC development and execution process
- Knowledge of construction materials, standards, and specifications related to DOT highway infrastructure projects and facilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Application of mathematical formulas and engineering principles
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office products
- Valid driver's license and favorable driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
