    Overview:

    The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Infectious Disease will manage an infectious disease control program to prevent, identify, and control infectious diseases, collaborating with healthcare professionals and staff.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and manage systems for identifying, preventing, and controlling communicable diseases
    • Monitor infectious diseases, provide referrals, and coordinate care
    • Promote a safe environment and conduct infection control education programs
    • Maintain inmate accountability and adhere to safety practices

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    Education: Graduation from a nursing program approved by the State Board of Nurse Examiners. One year of specialized training in infection control preferred.

    Experience: One year of experience in infection control preferred.

    Licenses/Certifications: Licensing as a Vocational Nurse valid in the state and current CPR certification.
