    Summary

    We are seeking a high-functioning Associate Sales Manager with a special interest in retail sales. This person will demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and an eagerness to learn. The role will require the ability to multi-task with large accounts. Strong administrative skills and time management will also be extremely useful in this role. This person will also demonstrate a passion for growth within our company. Someone who is adaptability and able to work quickly will transition seamlessly into the role The Associate Sales Manager will be responsible for developing sales plans to achieve and or surpass annual revenue budgets. The Associate Sales Manager will be responsible for both maintaining existing customers, as well as seeking new growth opportunities.

    Duties/Responsibilities


    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company annual budget goals.


    • Manage existing customer base, while seeking new customers.


    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.


    • Create market assessments through analysis of sales data, market research, competitive shopping, and market intelligence.


    • Curate PowerPoint presentations for key customers on a seasonal or program basis.


    • Monitor monthly budget VS. monthly shipments.


    • Work with cross-functional teams to manage the life cycle of each sale from initial pitch to delivery of the program.


    • Offer suggestions to continually improve sales processes and performance.


    • Focus on margin improvement and cost reductions where possible.


    • Manage the sampling process with the Product Development team for respective accounts (including compiling, tagging, organizing, and analyzing quality of samples)


    • Manage sample output to respective accounts as needed

    Requirements


    • Bachelor's degree in Corporate Retail, Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.


    • Proven experience as a Sales Manager, Merchant, or in a similar role.


    • Clear understanding of retail math, developing sales strategies, and/or conducting market research.


    • Floral and or Home Décor background preferred but not required.


    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


    • Must be team oriented with a "can do" attitude. Must be adaptable to changes and daily business needs.


    • Must have strong organizational skills.


    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This includes being able to plan ahead and prioritize tasks.


    • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and Excel


    • Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.


    • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.


    • Must have legal status in the U.S.
