    **JOB SUMMARY:**

    The Prep & Trim Technician removes and replaces all components as required for paint.

    **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

    + Sand entire vehicle or component, painted or unpainted.

    + Perform minor body work.

    + Wash entire vehicle or component.

    + Blowdown, metal prep and condition vehicle or component.

    + Mask, paper or grease components to be protected from paint.

    + Prime and paint assemblies or components where a fine finish is not required.

    + Demask, degrease vehicles or components. Apply stencils, labels, logos, sandpaint, nonskid etc., as required.

    + Clean entire vehicle or components of overspray, grease rust- proof, and dirt to ready product for shipment.

    + Drive vehicle as required in- to building from station to station and out of building and operate equipment as necessary.

    + Move parts carts by hand or with forklift.

    + Rustproof vehicle or components (certification required).

    **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**

    + High School Diploma or its equivalent.

    **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**

    + Use of simple arithmetic and some measuring instruments such as caliper, scale, etc.

    + Manufacturing experience.
