    Senior Facility EngineerLocation:
    Roseville, CAOn-site position.
    H.B. Fuller in Roseville, CA manufactures various water-based adhesive products sold to other businesses for use in their respective industries.

    The Facility Engineer reports to the Facility Manager and has primary responsibility for providing engineering support and warehouse management to the assigned facility.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Prepare preliminary cost estimates, project proposals and capital expenditure requests.
    • Provide input to Facility Manager, on decisions regarding new equipment or systems, system upgrades and repairs that exceed $1,000.
    • Optimize existing processes to provide consistently uniform, high quality products at the lowest cost.
    • Manage assigned projects, completing on time and within budget.
    • Direct support personnel and contractors as needed to complete projects.
    • Communicate effectively by written reports and informal contacts to ensure all appropriate personnel are aware of project status.
    • Manage project and repair costs and POs and assign to the proper SAP account(s).
    • Implement Total Productive Maintenance practices and Preventive maintenance practices in the plant system.
    • Oversee training of process and plant personnel for new equipment.
    • Manage plant infrastructure to minimize repairs and downtime.
    • Fully support and lead facility safety program and actively contribute to continuous improvement of facility safety performance.
    • Ensure the compliance with all applicable environmental regulations, including but not limited to PSM, OSHA, RCRA, TSCA, DOT and assist the HBF EHS representative.
    • Manage plant systems to maximize employee safety and minimize environmental risk. Ensure the compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and assist the HBF EHS representative. Directly responsible for the completion of SWPPP inspections, storm water and waste water sampling and testing and other compliance tasks as assigned per established EHS schedules.
    • Manage the water treatment process and effluent discharge for the site.
    • Manage within maintenance budget.
    • Assure departmental compliance with all ISO 9001:2000 requirements.
    • Oversee Warehouse Operations along with all shipping and receiving activity.
    • Ensure OSHA and DOT requirements are met in the warehouse areas and collaborate actively to promote safe practices and efforts throughout the facility.
    • Manage Plant Inventory and lead Plant Full Physical as well as Cycle Count Process.
    • Provide logistics and scheduling support as needed.
    • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor

    Warehouse/Shipping/ReceivingMinimum Requirements:

    Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering) required.3+ years of applied engineering experience OR advanced degree in engineering & 1+ year(s) of applied engineering experience.

    A minimum of 5 years experience OR 3 years with an advanced engineering degree is necessary to handle the complexities of this job.

    Project Experience Management of projects exceeding $500,000 would be preferred. Projects exceeding $100,000 would be required. They must be experienced as the lead engineer, not a member of a larger team. They should have sufficient financial acumen, including IRR and NPV calculations.


    Process Experience:
    Process improvement is a key to making plants more efficient, need to have strong ability with process improvement. Hot melt manufacturing experience would be ideal, but as a minimum, should have experience in chemical processing. Heat transfer and mass transfer operations knowledge would be applicable. General knowledge and programming experience with PLC's valuable.


    Computer:
    The candidate should be well versed in the use of software including Microsoft Office, MP2, CAD, Visio, etc. General knowledge of computer hardware configurations beneficial.


    Preferred Requirements:

    Leadership:
    Some formal leadership experience preferred, but not required


    Maintenance Experience:
    The individual must bring with them knowledge of maintenance programs and experience with either Total Productive Maintenance or Predictive Maintenance practices

    Plant Safety:
    The individual must have experience in general plant safety. Knowledge/practice of PSM, OSHA, confined space entry, lockout/tag out, and burn permit requirements is essential. Experience or knowledge in safety programs such as Dupont Stop preferred.


    Quality:
    The candidate should have experience in basic statistical process control, design of experiments and ISO/QS quality systems.
    Some SAP ERP system knowledge preferred.


    Physical Environment:


    Physical activities require continuous hearing; frequent talking, feeling, sitting, fingering, handling and repetitive motions of hands/wrists; and occasional standing, and walking.

    Position may carry and lift up to 10lbs. Position requires continuous visual demand 75% - 100% of the time.
    Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
    The salary for this role is $100,000 - $130,000.In addition to your salary, H.B.
