As a Network Operations Technician, you will take on vital responsibilities involving the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of all Network Operations equipment to guarantee uninterrupted service in voice, video, and data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the setup, preservation, examination, and repair of all Network Operations related equipment, collaborating closely with senior Network Operations personnel.
• Effectively execute service orders, work orders, and troubleshooting reports while maintaining clear communication across departments, ensuring efficient setup and confirmation of work completion.
• Work with various teams to identify and resolve network issues that may reach the customer's premises.
• Demonstrate expertise in telephony, digital technologies, and adhere to industry standards.
• Maintain Network Operations facilities, upholding Cable One's standards for organization and compliance.
• Manage the upkeep and replacement of the physical network infrastructure.
• Conduct tests and coordinate with other departments to diagnose network impairments.
• Under the guidance of experienced staff, prepare, set up, and test the required software and network configurations for equipment operation.
• Monitor network equipment and respond to alerts to ensure network integrity.
• Oversee the maintenance of assigned vehicles, tools, and equipment, ensuring they are in excellent condition and initiating repair requests as necessary.
• Complete and submit necessary reports concerning time, fuel consumption, materials used, and other administrative documentation.
• Keep Data Center Operations areas orderly and organized.
• Document and test new system components to establish performance benchmarks.
• Conduct testing and repairs during off-peak hours to minimize customer impact.
• Perform additional tasks as required to support efficient network operation.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Competence in computers and communication hardware/software.
• Ability to operate various testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret written instructions, including equipment manuals for troubleshooting network operations systems.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Capability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Willingness to travel to various Cable One locations.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, including overnight assignments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
