Currently recruiting for a **Junior Staff Accountant** in the **Conneaut, Ohio** area. Our client is looking for someone who is well-versed in accounting principles and can work comfortably with numbers with keen attention to detail. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department.

**This Role Offers:**

+ Base Pay: $18- per hour/ can increase based on Experience.

+ Monday through Friday (8:30am-5pm)

**Junior Staff Accountant Job Description:**

As a critical member of the Finance team, the Junior Staff Accountant will provide support by managing daily accounting tasks, including cash receipts, maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable, & general data entry & reporting. The Junior Staff Accountant is well-versed in accounting principles and can work comfortably with numbers with keen attention to detail. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Daily posting of cash receipts

+ Inputting accounts payable invoices.

+ Ensuring timely payment of invoices and gathering appropriate signatures.

+ Maintaining an organized filing system for accounts payable invoices and cash receipts.

+ Assisting in gathering of documents for external audits.

+ General data entry & reporting to assist in Finance & Operations departments.

+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

+ Works efficiently with a sense of urgency.

+ Strong critical thinking, analytical & problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent IT skills.

**Education and Experience:**

+ Successful completion of accounting classes required, associate degree in business preferred.

+ Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

**Physical Requirements:**

+ Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

+ Must be able to lift-up to fifteen pounds at times.

**Pay Details:** $18.00 to $22.00 per hour
