- Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience with a MA/MS, or 12+ years with a BA/BS, particularly in database administration roles focusing on Microsoft SQL and Azure SQL Database environments.
- Certifications: Must hold current or obtain within 90 days of start date IAT Level II (Security+ or higher)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or must obtain within 90 days of start date.
- Additional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) are a plus.
- Design, implement, and manage fault-tolerant database solutions across on-premises and Azure environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
- Expertly deploy and manage Microsoft SQL PaaS solutions within the Microsoft Azure Government (MAG) cloud, utilizing Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
- Lead Azure infrastructure projects, providing technical oversight and coordinating cross-domain workstreams to deliver comprehensive cloud solutions.
- Handle escalations, leveraging analytical skills to coordinate resources effectively, manage costs, and engage with stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
- Ensure database security and integrity, managing permissions, and implementing robust access controls by aligning database security controls with DoD STIGs, and continuous monitoring tracking via POA&M management.
