    We are looking for an experienced Manager of Software Development who can oversee several global development teams to ensure that our development processes operate efficiently. We want someone who can roll up their sleeves and architect, plan, and organize the development operation into a world class enterprise team. Experience with Java, Angular, and SQL is required. PharmaCord is a high-growth and fast-paced company, and this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in a collaborative, onsite work environment. Please note that this position requires 100% onsite presence at our Jeffersonville Indiana office.

    A typical day in the life of a Software Development Manager will include but not be limited to the following:

    • Leading technical planning sessions with the development teams.
    • Facilitating the code review process.
    • Improving the code branching and merging strategies.
    • Improving our CI/CD process to increase our ability to release code.
    • Responsible for tracking capacity and throughput of the development team.
    • Ability to communicate complicated technical situations to low-tech audiences.
    • Work closely with Quality Assurance analysts to ensure ongoing quality is held to high standards.
    • Well-versed in Agile best practices.
    • Be prepared to work in a high-growth fast-paced company.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field is required.
    • Minimum of 5+ years of leading development teams as a manager or tech lead
    • Background as a software developer or software architect is required.
    • Experience in leading global delivery teams is preferred.
    • We are located in the River Ridge Commerce Center at 150 Hilton Drive, Jeffersonville, IN. You must be willing to work onsite at this location, remote work arrangements are not available for this role; PharmaCord does reimburse for tolls if applicable, at the frequent user rate. This rate is applied after 40 trips per month (valued at $624.00 per year)

    Physical Demands & Work Environment:

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to type 35 WPM with 97% accuracy.
    • This is an office-based position, the ability to sit for extended periods of time is necessary.
    • Although very minimal, flexibility to travel as needed is preferred.
    • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
