    As our Lead, Salesforce Email & SMS Development, you will

    Be the technical subject matter expert in using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (i.e. ExactTarget) to implement and execute the B2C Email, Mobile, and Push marketing strategies and campaigns for our clients Marketing teams. Based on the feature roadmap and by collaborating with Marketing teams, product owners, the Salesforce platform team and other engineering teams, the Lead Developer will perform hands-on technical development for all projects related to Salesforce Marketing Cloud using AMPscript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, SOAP/REST APIs, Email Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Studio etc. as necessary.

    Youll have experience configuring and customizing data for Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The developer is knowledgeable in subscriber management across channels and can troubleshoot various programmatic languages that guide the design of both tactical and strategic email campaigns. The Lead has experience as a developer for Marketing Cloud creating personalized, dynamic messages, landing pages, makes use of Marketing Cloud scripting languages, and is experienced with data configuration, manipulations and advance segmentation, as well as reporting and analytics. The Lead Developer has at least 4 years of experience developing for Marketing Cloud and associated tools.

    Be Accountable and Responsible

    • Administer the clients Salesforce Marketing Cloud
    • Manage email and SMS execution across assigned larger, more complex clients
    • Coordinate and oversee email and SMS execution tasks to ensure work is completed on time, to standard, and without error
    • Configure, set-up data and maintain models (data extensions, shared data extensions, Contact model).
    • Configure data import.
    • Work with customers and platform data (SQL, system data views, Send Log).
    • Write advanced SQL, including join statements and stacked queries.
    • Create dynamic, personalized marketing assets using various scripting languages like HTML, CSS etc.
    • Build Marketing Cloud web experiences(data forms, custom preference pages).
    • Ability to explain subscription management and deploy business solutions accordingly.
    • Work through and resolve scenarios using REST and SOAP API.
    • Automate email execution processes, activities, and reporting
    • Design emails and creative templates utilizing Photoshop or similar design applications
    • Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high quality business solutions in Salesforce.
    • Play a technical role in evaluating new CRM technologies/add-ons and develop plans for their implementation into Salesforce.
    • Provide on-going technical support.
    • Train other development resources on Salesforce development practices, as needed. Maintain alignment with Salesforce development best practices.
    • Advise on the implementation of tracking code
    • Troubleshoot email and SMS issues (platforms, HTML, rendering)
    • Work with internal and external IT resources to ensure essential technical steps are taken for proper email program setup and integration
    • Ensure all client emails comply with current CAN-SPAM and other email legislation
    • Ability to develop and deploy multiple email campaigns per day.
    • Ability to project manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
    • Participate in or lead client meetings.
    • Speak as the Subject Matter Expert on relevant client calls.
    • Lead and coordinate in onboarding additional resources or partners on third-party tools as necessary.
    • Work with the Client Service and Business Development teams as an SME on additional platform capabilities to benefit our clients.
    • Understand Client Call Expectations/Processes.
    • Ability to lead client brainstorming meetings.

    These are the qualifications were looking for

    • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and/or equivalent work experience
    • 4+ years of overall hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Studio, Mobile Push, SFMC API, Data Extensions, Data Views, Automations, Journey Builder, Preference Center, Audience Management and Segmentation, Tracking and Reporting.
    • 4+ years of hands-on experience (advanced level knowledge) of writing SQL queries.
    • 4+ years client-facing, customer service experience.
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience (intermediate to expert level knowledge) of writing AMPScript code.
    • Hands-on experience (beginner to intermediate level knowledge) of writing Server Side Java Script code.
    • Deep understanding, experience and ability to troubleshoot and resolve Mobile SDK, SFMC API or Automation triggered Email / Mobile Push Notifications issues.
    • Experience building, deploying, and testing responsive email and push notifications marketing campaigns.
    • Ability to interpret performance data and insights to make iterative optimizations to campaigns and tactics.
    • Solid technical skills and expertise with HTML and CSS optimized for email deployment with an understanding of the difference between coding for the web and coding for email.
    • Knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud / Service Cloud is a plus
    • Experience coaching junior developers and training non-technical partners in SFMC.

    • Required knowledge of email metrics reporting from ESPs and Google tags
    • English language fluency.
    • Software development experience is a plus.
    • Salesforce Email Marketing Specialist certification (required)
    • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer certification (preferred)
    • Strong experience with Adobe PhotoShop, Dreamweaver, and animated gifs/flash
    • Proficiency in Google Suite (specifically Google Sheets, Google Docs and Google Slides)
    • Understand partnership opportunities and identification processes
    • Advanced working knowledge of Google Analytics
    • Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
    • Ability to work some after-hours and/or weekend support required.
    • Experience with complex data structures, data modeling and databases.
    • Experience with any Salesforce clouds.
    • Experience with any marketing automations tools/platforms.
    • General understanding of key digital marketing trends.

    Compensation: $68,000 - $82,000

    Salary differential is based on seniority, merit, education, training, and experience. MERGEs career ladders reflect department growth from Associate through Partner levels, with details of roles and responsibilities associated with each level. New hires are assigned a job level within a particular position based on these criteria and salary is set within the job level based on these criteria. Growth from one level to the next occurs when employees master their role and are promoted to the next level, generally during salary review cycles that are posted in the employee handbook.
