    Description

    This is a hybrid role requiring on-site work 2 days per week. Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in DNS/IPAM, Firewall configurations, NAC implementation, load balancing strategies, DDoS mitigation tactics, and tapping/sniffing infrastructures.
  • Competence in NTP synchronization, cloud platforms (preferably AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), WAN/LAN management, IPv6 deployment, TCP/IP protocols, VPN setups, and Ethernet technologies.
  • Expertise in routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP4, RIP, VPLS, and MPLS.
  • Active certification as a Cisco CCIE. Position Overview:
  • Conduct in-depth research and devise innovative security solutions for network infrastructures.
  • Design and engineer network solutions tailored for both new and existing systems.
  • Provide comprehensive day-to-day support for network engineering and operations.
  • Offer strategic insights and tactical input for network planning and associated projects.
  • Tackle complex technical challenges and devise creative solutions within a collaborative team environment.
  • Engage with cutting-edge technologies and applications in customer lab environments.
  • Requirements:

    Essential Foundation (Basic Qualifications):

  • 10 years experience in designing, configuring, and managing large enterprise networks exceeding 7000 nodes.
  • Proficiency with configuring and managing switches, routers, load balancers, and firewalls for a minimum of 8 years.
  • Strong expertise in network monitoring/IPAM tools (eg, SolarWinds, NetFlow) and physical communication troubleshooting.
  • In-depth familiarity with Cisco IOS, Cisco Nexus Operating systems, and WAN optimization techniques.
  • Substantial experience with scripting languages like Python or Perl and tools such as Gigamon.
  • Active Cisco CCIE or CCNP certification, along with IPv6 and PRIME experience.
  • Solid cloud networking experience, particularly with leading hyperscalers like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust as per contractual requirements. Factors for Success (Required Skills):
  • Familiarity with Dynatrace and a comprehensive understanding of internetworking principles including security, routing, switching, SAN, and application networking.
  • Experience in Microsoft Server and Linux Administration, with expertise in the Linux command-line environment.
  • Proficiency in high availability, failover, redundant configurations, and network deployment automation (eg, Ansible, Zero Touch Provisioning).
  • Competence with virtualization solutions such as VMWare and adeptness in documenting network information and system audits.
  • Ability to develop network systems aligned with organizational strategies and produce operational documentation adhering to industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Visio, Project, and technical writing for effective communication.
  • Stand Out (Desired Skills):

  • Additional active Cisco CCIE or CCNP certification.
  • Experience in developing and managing automation scripts for Software Defined Networking (SDN) and other network components.
  • Prior experience in federal government projects.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude towards dynamic work environments and strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and proficiency in constructing and debugging SQL queries. Education:
  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
