    Fulltime and Part-time Positions.

    Position Summary:
    REACH, our early intervention program, provides specialized services through a multidisciplinary team to families with children birth to age three who have, or are at risk for, developmental delays. Staff assists parents in understanding the developmental needs of children and in learning ways to help their children grow. The program offers intensive treatment for families who have children with autism spectrum disorders.

    Position Responsibilities:
    • Work in a team-base system; with other physical therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, SLP's, nurses, and nutritionists.
    • Assess cognitive function and learning styles of children.
    • Develop and implement teaching strategies and activities to promote progress.
    • Generate and implement overall developmental programs for children.
    • Function as service coordinator to address parent/family needs and family dynamics as well as childrens programs, coordinate services with other team members and with medical, social service, and educational staff of other programs.

    Qualifications:
    • Experience working with young children (birth to age 5) and families.
    • Bilingual- Spanish/English a plus
    • B.A. required, or M.A. preferred- transcripts of degree work or subsequent transcripts must reflect successful completion of at least 4 approved 3credit courses that focus on infants, toddlers, and/or families. Additionally, at least 300 hours of practicum or work experience with young children (under the age of 5) is required and documented on a resume. Additional experience with infants, toddlers, and/or families is preferred.
    • Driver's License with reliable transportation.
    • Able to pass background screening.
