Shop Laborer/Mechanic
Bonner Springs/Edwardsville USD 204 is now accepting applications for a Shop Laborer / Mechanic for our in-house transportation department.
12 month position / 8 hours per day

Essential Functions
Diesel engine knowledge
Obtain and maintain Class B- CDL with passenger and school bus endorsement.
DOT Physical pre-hire drug and alcohol screen and remain in random pool.
Fuel Buses and Vans as needed.
Weekly fluid checks on all vehicles.
Wash vehicles. Keep them ready to go out at any time.
Diagnose any mechanical repairs needed for vans and buses.
Light body work on buses.
Repair seats as needed.
Some technology knowledge for radio and camera systems.
Keep records on all vehicle repairs and maintenance.
Snow removal when needed.
Maintain clean shop and lot.
Drive route or activities as needed.
Maintain good relationship with coworkers.
Work with vendors on parts and supplies needed for shop use.
All other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
