Diesel Mechanic- Full Time$25-30/Hr.
Lafayette, LA
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and dependable operation.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, communicates effectively, and can work independently or as part of a team.

Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines, trucks, and heavy equipment
Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, filters, brakes, and fluid checks
Inspect and identify mechanical issues, electrical problems, and component failures
Complete engine rebuilds, component replacements, and system repairs as needed
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Ensure all work meets safety standards and company procedures
Operate shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery safely
Communicate repair needs, timelines, and recommendations to supervisors
Respond to emergency repair needs when required (if applicable)
Qualifications:
2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy‑duty equipment
Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports
Own basic tools (company may provide specialty tools)
Valid driver's license; CDL a plus
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks
