- Conducting assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and activities of daily living.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address students' occupational therapy needs.
- Providing direct occupational therapy services to students, including interventions to improve motor coordination, handwriting, self-care skills, and sensory regulation.
- Designing and implementing therapeutic activities and interventions to support students' functional abilities within the classroom and school environment.
- Monitoring and documenting students' progress towards goals and objectives, and adjusting intervention plans as needed.
- Providing consultation and training to school staff on strategies to support students' sensory and motor needs.
- Advocating for the inclusion of occupational therapy services within the school curriculum and promoting a positive school culture that values diversity and inclusion.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Georgia.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or pediatric setting.
- Strong assessment and intervention skills, with a focus on evidence-based practices in occupational therapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
